What do you actually do?
We pride ourselves on a turn key custom builds. We take care of everything including the design, permits (if needed), sub trades, etc. We provide you all the labour and material for the project!We provide quality products and will not install or warranty products supplied by clients. We want to ensure you have a turn key project and as we control every aspect of your project, we can control the quality of the final result!Our designers will help guide you along every step of the way!
How do you communicate with clients throughout the build?
At Menard & Robertson, we bring you a platform to communicate with us, follow the schedule of your project, check allowances, selections and much more. It is fully integrated with our subtrades and suppliers so everyone has the same information in one location!
When can we start?
We believe that from pouring the footings to framing the home, these are the most important steps to making the home top quality and make the final product look amazing! We have two framing teams and we book our homes in consequence to their availability.
Is there a waiting list for consultations?
We currently have a waiting list for new projects. Our designers will be happy to meet with you for a consultation within the next 8-10 weeks.
When can you start?
We currently have projects scheduled into late Winter 2023. ETA for completion would be late 2023.

How much is a home per square foot?
This is the most frequently asked question in the industry. This is also the toughest question to answer for custom home builders to answer. There are way too many factors to consider! Land included? Big Kitchen or small kitchen? 1 car, 2 car, 3 car, attached or detached garage? Roof pitch? Brick, stone, metal or vinyl siding? These are just a few questions that can have major impacts on the investment level required for a project. Once we meet to discuss your project further, we can give you a comparable to a home we may have quoted like it!
Do you have any plans or models?
No, we are a custom home builder and everyone home is different and a prototype designed for the clients needs and wants.In some cases, due to lot restrictions, we will have a base to work with and selections clients can make.
How does financing work?
Custom homes require progress billing. It is important to talk to your financial institution about construction mortgages before requesting a consultation for a new home. When you receive an estimate, we provide a payment schedule (as seen below) to outline the payment requirements to build a home. Download an example of a financing schedule here.
What is the process after completing the get started form?
Once you have completed this form, we will put you in the queue and our home designer will schedule a meeting with you to meet and go over your project. She will ask for land information (subdivision plans or a survey) to place your home properly. She will ask you for and inspirations or plans your may have found online.
What is the history of Menard & Robertson?
We were once known as Menard Brothers from 1955 till 2021. In 2021, the third generation purchased the company and rebranded to reflect the new partnership of Menard & Robertson. Quality behind the drywall and the finish design is what sets us apart from the competition. We pride ourselves in not only building above code, but creating a new standard of quality. Our team prides ourselves on quality craftmanship and design.
